- 6 plantains
-vegatable oil (for the frying)
-Vanilla ice cream
dough:
350g all purpose flour
Icing sugar (for topping… sprinkle as necessary)
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla / vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
150 gr butter
75 ml water
Directions:
Mix together all dough ingredients with the exception of the egg and butter.
When ingredients are mixed in well, add in egg and butter. Mix until dough can be rolled out.
roll dough (in thickness of your choice)
Slice plantains in halves. Wrap rolled out dough around the halves.
Put into frying pan with oil, and fry until dough is golden brown.
Put in dessert bowls with a scoop or two (or more) of vanilla icecream.
Sprinkle with icing sugar.
