B-B-Q Beef Brisket

Total cooking time needed…4 hours. Believe me, it is worth the wait. :smiley:

1 beef brisket
1 onion - chopped
3 garlic cloves - minced
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
worcestershire sauce

Preheat oven to 275. Place brisket in a roasting pan (need one with a lid, i.e. http://www.cooking.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=163281). Douse with worcestershire sauce and cover with minced garlic, chopped onion, and cayenne pepper. Put lid on roasting pan and bake for 3 hours. With about 45 minutes left, begin making the B-B-Q sauce.

B-B-Q Sauce:
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 onion - chopped
1 glove garlic - minced
1 tbs. mustard
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 cups ketchup
1 cup water
4 tsp. worcestershire sauce
2 tbs. vinegar
1 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

In a saute pan, brown onion and garlic in oil. Add all other ingredients and whisk together. Simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes.

Add B-B-Q sauce to the brisket. Replace lid and bake for an additional hour.

Shred meat when done and serve on Kaiser Rolls. Enjoy!!
