Easy marinara sauce

My family favorite–great for throwing in the crockpot in the morning before work

3 gloves garlic (minced or crushed)
1/4 cup minced fresh Italian parsley (or used dried equivalent)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cups chopped peeled tomatoes (or 1 large can), pref. San Marzano style
1t crumbled oregano
1/2 t salt
1 can tomato paste

Saute garlic and parsley in olive oil until garlic is delicately brown; add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer for at least an hour or transfer to crockpot on low setting.
